Alright, that was just fucking ridiculous.

I managed to kill those guys that I was stuck at and was at the bit where you have to chase the guy you’re trying to kill. There’s people in my way, trying to kill me, so I kill them. I kill all of them and survive and suddenly the game thinks that I’ve died and sends me back to the part where I have to kill all those people that I was stuck at again.
