Not sure how I missed this until now, but Amazon has a high-resolution image of the Skyrim Collector’s Edition box art up on their store page.
I’m partial to the “book” look myself, but it’s still pretty awesome looking box art nonetheless. What do you think? Let me know in the comments below.
That’s the official box art for the CE? It’s nice, I guess, I mean it looks great and everything but I’d of liked it to be the same case for the game as the normal version. But, then again, I’m probably going to buy the GoTY edition when it comes out and that’ll probably be the same box art as the original, normal version but with GoTY written on it.

Is that the Collector’s Edition box? Or the Skyrim Xbox box?
I was thinking about it last night, when I was trying to get to sleep. I remembered how really excited I was when I found out about it. I was running around the house screaming, crying and laughing hysterically for about an hour and that whole night, I couldn’t stop grinning like a fucking idiot. And now I’m not even going to get it.
Last night, I could actually see myself reading the Skyrim book, that comes with the Collector’s Edition and I could image turning out my light, next to my bed, and having the dragon statue being the last thing I see at night.
So.. I’m thinking that I might buy it. I know I keep changing my mine every few days. But fuck. Fucking look at it! I want it so, so, so, so, so much. More than anything in the world.
I mean, I’ve got enough money for it, just about, so why not? Who cares if I’ve been saving it up for years and years? It’s fucking worth it, in my eyes.
I know I really, really, really want it, but I don’t want to spend all the money I’ve been saving up for years.
I mean, the map already comes with the normal pre-order version, the behind the scenes DVD will be on YouTube in a while and someone will probably sell the book and statue on eBay. So basically I’ll be paying an extra £100 for a statue and a book that someone will sell online.
I’d love Skyrim to be my first CE that I’ve bought, but is it really worth that much money? If it was around £70 or £80, I’d buy it in a heartbeat, but £130.. I guess I’m starting to see why people are complaining about it.
